The clutch system in your vehicle plays a crucial role in the operation of manual transmission cars, connecting the engine to the gearbox and enabling you to change gears smoothly. It consists of several key components, including the clutch disc, pressure plate, release bearing, and flywheel, all working together to facilitate the transfer of power from the engine to the wheels. One of the primary functions of the clutch is to disengage and engage the engine from the gearbox. When you press the clutch pedal, the pressure plate releases the clutch disc from the flywheel, temporarily interrupting the power flow to the wheels. This disengagement allows you to change gears smoothly by selecting different ratios in the gearbox. The clutch system not only facilitates gear changes but also provides control over the power delivery to the wheels. Proper clutch operation ensures that power is transferred smoothly, without causing jerks or stalling the engine. This is crucial for maintaining vehicle control and ensuring a comfortable driving experience, especially in challenging road conditions or during maneuvers such as starting from a stop or climbing hills.
Over time and with regular use, components of the clutch system can wear out or become damaged. Common signs of clutch problems include slipping, difficulty shifting gears, a spongy clutch pedal, or unusual noises when engaging or disengaging the clutch. Addressing these issues promptly is essential to prevent further damage and ensure the continued reliability of your vehicle. Regular maintenance and proper driving habits can extend the lifespan of your clutch system. This includes avoiding excessive slipping of the clutch, using the clutch pedal properly (fully disengaging when shifting gears), and keeping the clutch fluid at the recommended level. Clutch is a vital component of your vehicle’s drivetrain, enabling smooth gear changes and providing control over power delivery. Understanding its importance and recognizing signs of potential issues can help you maintain the performance and longevity of your vehicle. If you suspect any problems with your clutch system, it’s advisable to consult a professional mechanic at Safari Autos & Body Works for diagnosis and repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation of your vehicle.

To prolong the life span of your tyres it is advisable to rotate your tyre locations on a yearly basis.
Please note that if the puncture is within 1 inch of the tyres shoulder a repair can not be carried out as it is unlikely that the patch will adhere correctly
If you have experienced a puncture and the tyre has been driven whilst flat a puncture repair is unlikely to be carried out by the garage as this would have weakened the structure and integrity of the tyres side walls, on this occasion you will require a replacement tyre to be fitted for safety reasons (your garage will advise you accordingly)
Checking your tyres on a regular basis can save you hundreds of pounds in unnecessary repairs and incorrect fuel usage

The clutch is usually made up of 3 parts 1.clutch plate. 2.clutch cover. 3.clutch release bearing put in to simple terms the clutch plate is basically a friction disc/plate that, when activated with the other two parts by depressing and releasing the clutch pedal, it presses and in return releases against the flywheel which in turn receives drive connecting it from the flywheel to the gearbox hence driving the vehicle.
Some models have a separate ADD Blue tank and some have a blister bag. Your garage will advise you accordingly (please note if your vehicle has the blister bag type these are considerably more expensive to change than quoted here)
